La Serenissima ~ a story of love. EXCERPT ~ Chapter III The beginning. Marias English was good but with a very thick Italian accent where most words spoken tended to end with an a or an o at the end, which was so charming. She too did chuckle at the prize photograph and was amused at us all being so light-hearted about the situation yesterday. We thought she called us The mad English family , which tickled us all once again. She began to read the article with her little pince-nez glasses and made comments in Italian along the way. She then muttered the remaining paragraph to herself, not fully forming the words and hurriedly digested everything that was written. She sipped her coffee....... Tracy-ann Martin.
