The Board will provide direction on next steps towards developing a model of universal quality preschool in Sonoma County, a key recommendation in the Portrait of Sonoma County. The Health Action update will include a synopsis of current efforts to address our priorities and will briefly highlight the work of the Committee for Healthcare Improvement, Economic Wellness and Cradle to Career. The Early Childhood Education component of the report will focus on opportunities to expand facilities, explore funding mechanisms, and develop collaborative partnerships for planning on-site early care and education in new developments of affordable housing, near transit related housing, and large commercial developments. The meeting begins at 8:30am at 575 Administration Drive, Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
