LaFran (Laura Frances Bushman) started painting at age 12 and continued on to where she attained her bachelors in Fine Art from Kendall College of Art & Design in Grand Rapids, MI (graduated cum laude). Lately she has been especially into seascapes incorporating people and animals into the paintings. LaFran is a focused artist with passion for creativity and design. Her belief is, it has to be a good drawing and design to be a good painting. Her style incorporates dramatic contrast between lights and dark, using brighter colors than nature can provide.
