Labor promises to scrap job creation investment!! LABOR wants to scrap the mining infrastructure deal which will provide 27,000 jobs in the region. State Opposition Leader Annastacia Palaszczuk has committed to scrapping the deal to build the necessary infrastructure for the Carmichael Mine, which means that Labor has officially turned its back on thousands of jobless miners and contractors around the state. Ms Palaszczuk’s comments follow those of Labor’s Federal Environment spokesman Mark Butler who expressed a desire to phase out coal, saying: “Yes. I think everyone agrees that over a period of time – it will be a fairly extended period of time – we’ll move to more renewable energy sources.” Adani’s plans in Australia would enable the coal exports needed to bring millions of people out of poverty in India. Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, spoke passionately in the Australian Parliament about bringing 100 million people out of poverty, putting a roof over their head and giving them access to electricity. The partnership between India and Australia will achieve that outcome for India and will provide tens of thousands of jobs in Australia. Now we have the Labor Party committing to the destruction of those job prospects and making a determination to keep millions of people in poverty. It seems that Labor’s promises are being dictated by Greens policy. And the party that used to stand up for the worker has sunk to a new low. georgechristensen.au/labor-promises-to-scrap-job-creation-investment/
