Laboratory Technician Norbrook Laboratories - Newry Based within our Formulation Laboratory, R&D, the Laboratory Technician will assist Formulation staff with both analytical and administrative tasks. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for routine daily tasks conducted within a laboratory environment such as log in of materials and stock control, balance calibration, temperature monitoring of controlled appliances, cleaning of glassware and equipment and assist in the organisation and maintenance of laboratory consumables. In addition the successful candidate will be required to assist with the preparation and collation of both raw data and study reports for submission within controlled environment. The successful candidate will have excellent attention to detail as well as having excellent oral and written skills. They will be highly motivated and organised and be able to work on their own initiative as and when required. This position represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual wishing to enter the Pharmaceutical Industry. Qualifications: Essential Criteria: • Applicants must possess a Chemistry A Level (or equivalent) qualification. • Applicants must possess excellent oral, written & computer skills as evidenced on the application form and at interview. • Applicants will possess excellent organisational skills. Desirable Criteria: • A Level qualification (or equivalent) in other Science subjects. • Previous Laboratory experience. Duration: Full-time, permanent Location: Newry, Co.
