Lack of seat belt use also discussed: “A driver will remind a student when they get on a bus to wear their seat belt, but they can’t make sure every student is buckled in,” said Ray Kuehner, president of the School Transportation Supervisors of New Jersey. “They would never (get their route done) in time and schedules are already tight.” ... She said the school district can write up students who refuse to wear a seat belt. But Kuehner said most schools in New Jersey have no such polices.
