Lacy and Mehmet asked for my ten most influential albums, so here goes.... Yes- Yessongs - Where it all began, six year old me was turned onto this by the most awesome older bros, When stuff of this caliber is where it begins, a kick ass musical life is a surety. Triumph- Allied Forces - I would say that this is where the lightbulb went on, where music became it for me. Rush- Moving Pictures - Another layer added to my musical depth. The Who- Quadrophenia - First time I connected personally to an album, finally a voice for all the confusion in me. Marillion- Misplaced Childhood - A whole album...without breaks??? IQ- Ever - Words cant even.... Dream Theater- Images and Words - Finally, my own band, independent of anyones influence. And oh what a band man.... Marillion - Clutching at Straws - So much depth, so perfect. Iron Maiden- The Number of the Beast - Gave birth to my metal side. Mechanical Poet- Woodland Prattlers- The album that pushed me to start writing for Lady Obscure Music Magazine, opening up a whole new world. Not nominating anyone else, just making a list cause thats what we DTFers are best at :D
