Ladies Football Langley School student Flo Allen has enjoyed - TopicsExpress

Ladies Football Langley School student Flo Allen has enjoyed great success in the Netherlands during the May half term. She travelled to a very wet Holland on Sunday 25th May to the team hotel close to the training and fixture location of Huizen, just outside Amsterdam. Training was on Monday and Tuesday, followed by their first fixture on Wednesday afternoon. Flo played a full 90 minutes at full back and the team enjoyed a 3-0 victory. They then had a light training session on Thursday and prepared for another fixture on Friday where they were watched by a crowd of a few hundred. Again Flo was selected and played a full 90 minutes and again the team came away with another well deserved 3-0 victory. The players and coaches were very pleased with the trip and Flo was particularly pleased to have played twice, won twice and not conceded a goal away from home - an outcome that has rarely been achieved by an under 15 England team! We are immensely proud of her achievements and they are a true reward for her hard work and commitment to her football. She has now enjoyed 2 years at this age level taking part in 10 England training camps and 4 fixtures, gaining 4 caps in total and being part of a winning team on each occasion. Whilst playing for Norwich City Centre of Excellence she is now looking forward to challenging for a place in the England under 17 squad for next seasons European Championships and continues to work towards her dream of playing for the England Ladies team and at the Olympic Games. Congratulations to Flo from everyone at Langley School. Photographs below taken in Holland over half term of Flo playing:
