Ladies, I have sent this letter to each local president along with the membership list from last year for each local. We need your help in improving communications and keeping costs down and this can be done by making sure that we have the most current information for each of our members. Its difficult sometimes to get things to our presidents and members if we dont have correct contact information. Thank you so much for your help. Its fall and many locals are planning their fall membership meetings. You are the President of record so I am sending this information to you. If you are no longer president would you please pass this along to the new president and make sure I have the updated information. Thank you so very much. There a number things that you need to know. We have received notification that the ANCW dues have risen from $50 to $60. Hopefully many of you will recognize the importance of belonging to the national organization considering all the work they do on our behalf; materials development, publicity, and keeping up with issues at the national level. Please note that hopefully the increase will help to cover some of the financial burden that the members of the executive board incur while working so hard to represent us across the national and at meetings. There is no travel budget for this and these ladies spend their own money or get sponsors in order to do this for us. I am enclosing a list of last years members and their information. As your members renew or you enroll new members, please check for accuracy and include the information for new members. If you could return it to me, it would be greatly appreciated. You will notice there are columns for putting the email and at the end two other columns. Please check the newsletter column if we can send their newsletter via email. We are looking at some options about the newsletter which may cause it to change format due to costs . Currently, the costs of delivering hard copies takes the bulk of a members dues. some options might include a handling charge for hard copies, reducing the number of newsletters per year, or what ideas do you locals have? Someone in the local who is willing to print off and pass the newsletter on to those without email? The column called email info is where you check if they have email and it is okay to send them the alerts and email blasts for our members only. Please note that we do not give out emails to anyone. This list is for our internal use only. Thank you so very much. Jo Industry Issues Chair, Communication Chair.
