Ladies and Gentlemen! (Cue the drum roll please!) The time is almost here! Paws on Parade is less than two weeks away on October 5th. I am walking this year in memory of Teddy, who passed away in April of this year. Paws on Parade is a fundraiser for the Bangor Humane Society. In the past Teddy participated with me in several Paws on Parade events. The picture of Teddy on my Paws Webpage was actually taken by a photographer at a previous Paws event. The Bangor Humane Society provides a variety of services for local communities in the Bangor area. They provide a low cost spay and neuter program for low income individuals and families. They microchip cats and dogs to help reunite lost pets with their families. And, most importantly, they rescue abused and neglected animals, as well as take in pets who need to find a new home. Some of the animals they take in are barely surviving. Some come from responsible homes who for a variety of reasons need to find a new home for their pet (for example, there might have been a death or illness in the family, loss of job, home foreclosure, etc.). And some of these pets just need someone willing to give them the time and training to help them become loving life companions. BHS takes in dogs, cats, rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, ferrets, guinea pigs, parakeets, doves, cockatiels, zebras, and elephants. OK… maybe not zebras and elephants. The thing is, they save pets who need a second chance in life. Can you please sponsor me for Paws on Parade to help BHS? Any amount you can give would be appreciated! The following is a link to my personal Paws webpage where you can make a donation. I would appreciate it very much if you could help this worthy cause! pawsonparade.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=1074002&lis=1&kntae1074002=4BC8A3B8BB0B4B09A4C7260037138843&supId=337326782 Thanks for your support!
