Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s a Gujarati once again after 67 - TopicsExpress

Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s a Gujarati once again after 67 years………………who threw a foreigner and set India free. 67 Years ago it was British who were thrown out of the country, today it’s an Italian who is thrown out of power, and needless to mention, both times it was a Gujarati who managed to do so. However, there is a difference – That time the man who brought revolution and could set us free from the clutches of shrewd British, was a son of a wealthy man who was sent to England to study Law and practice it in South Africa. Needless to mention, this great man was our father of nation – Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. Today, the man who brought similar revolution in India where he set India free from the poisonous clutches of an Italian, is a son of a poor man who used to be just a “chai-wala” (tea-seller), selling chai (tea) in the trains/platforms etc. of India. This great man is Mr. Narendra Modi. Clearly this depicts that regardless of the stature of a man being rich or poor in India, if a person has firm determination and positive attitude, he can do wonders and bring positive change, as exemplified above. Every citizen of India has equal fundamental rights and opportunity to excel, regardless of color, caste or creed, and also religion. The beauty of this great nation is, what a rich Barrister could do 67 years ago, a poor chai-wala could do the same thing 67 years later. All that is needed from an individual is his firm belief in God, absolute commitment, dedication and firm determination to execute that change for betterment. “Arent you getting a flavour of 14th Aug 1947 tonight?” A tweet by Kiran Bedi. Yes, undoubtedly we are getting a feeling of 1947. Unfortunately, I wasnt there during that historic moment to witness and enjoy the big roar of freedom of our country, but I wish I could be a part of it, the way I am today. God Bless our great nation, India. Jai Hind!
