I am a local guide of Meo vac area of Dong van Karst Globel Geopark. first, on behalf of the local people in Meo vac district I wish all of you have a good health and warmest greetings Before coming here, you had been introduced about the geo-heritages and geo-cultural heritage values in Quang Ba, Yen Minh and Dong Van district area. continually. let me introduce to you a valuable series of the heritages including: geology, history and culture in Meo Vac area. The geological heritages in Meo vac area consist of Nho Que canyon, Nho Que fault facets, mapileng folds, boundaries between the limestone masses with different ages, bedding characteristics, pavi needle- shape towers, composition, colors and etc....... The geo- heritages in Ma pi leng pass were created as a result of internal and external complex activities of the earth crust. These heritages are the evidences on the Nho Que fault’s activities that occurred in Neotectonic stages with the date of more than 30 million years ago. The Nho Que river- canyon in Ma pi lang erea with the dept level of 700 - 800 meters, the wall slopes of 70 - 80 degree (vertical cliffs) and the elevation of 1600 meters above sea level is considered as the deepest canyon in vietnam as well as southeast Asia. Especially in the winter you can see snow falling here. These makes you feel touching the haven. So it is named “ the first impressive landscape” Dir sirs and madams! Following, I am proud to introduce to you about the national road No.4C with the length of 24 kilometers, connecting Dong van with Meo vac town. This route was built for six years from 1959 to 1965. before 1959, it was a path for walking and horses carrying goods. Afer completing, this road has brought conveniences. Moreover thanks to this road, it promote and develop the socio- economy between two district dong van and Meo Vac. So local people call this way “ happy road” Finally, I am pleased to introduce about the river called Nho Que with the length of 46 kilometers. This river originates from china and flow to Dong van, meo vac and join together Nhien river belonging to vietnamese territory. Along this river, the local authority decided to built three hydroelectric stations to produce electricity from water, moreover to keep water for agriculture and developing the local tourism.
