Ladies and gentlemen...there seems to be a real generation of crew - TopicsExpress

Ladies and gentlemen...there seems to be a real generation of crew who are entering this industry (and there are those who are now in it) who display a real sense of entitlement. Yachting is not a gap year or your time to travel...it is for hard working individuals who love to give outstanding customer service. It would not hurt to be considerate to the people around you as you never know who will be on the other side of the person interviewing you in the near future. Never forget to say thank you...and say it often!!! Dont forget to be kind, considerate and grateful to everyone around you. And when someone helps you find work...do not act that like its your god given right...but instead show true appreciation...as they might not help you again. This includes being grateful to crew agents, yachting teachers, room/cabin mates, your day working crew in general, as well as your full time crew, your friends who are part of your network and that person who just helped you get your foot in the door of yachting. Just saying.
