Ladoja’s 2015 guber ambition a misplaced priority —Oyo APCfont sizePrintEmail30.Nov.2014DISQUS_COMMENTSNurudeen AlimiRate this item(1 Vote)The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has described the ambition of formerGovernor Rashidi Ladoja to return to power as an elected governor eight years after he vacated the office as a misplaced priority as well as a renewed attempt to plunge the state into another round of avoidable political crisis.“Senator Ladoja’s four-year tenure was marred by controversies largely due to a battle of supremacy between him and the late strong man of Ibadan politics, Alhaji Lamidi Adedibu, as he eventually lost out and was replaced by his deputy, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala.“Ladoja failed again in 2011 when he contested the state gubernatorial election on the platform of the Accord Party and he is currently warming up to slug it out with other contenders during the 2015 elections,” the APC said in a statement issued by its Director of Publicity and Strategy, Olawale Sadare.“We have watched with keen interested how the Septugerian ex-governor has been moving round to garner support for his ambition to return to Agodi, Government House in 2015,” the party added.
