Lady is a 1 year old pit mix who is not doing well with the staff - TopicsExpress

Lady is a 1 year old pit mix who is not doing well with the staff at the shelter during assessment time but has rave reviews from volunteer staff. Please help find a foster or adopter and a New Hope Partner to pull and rescue Lady from tomorrows kill list. A volunteer writes: Lady had me wrapped around her paw from the moment I saw her. Quietly sitting in her kennel, tail wagging gently every time I looked her way, she presented a picture of calm and composure. Lady is truly a lady...I leashed her easily, put a coat on her and out we went. Her leash manners are good, she goes as soon as we are outside, and her tail wags gently as we walk. Even at her young age there is evidence of multiple litters, and my guess is that she was used for breeding and then let go. Shes affectionate, gentle, sweet, calm and also seems a bit sad. She gives delicious kisses, washing my whole face with her tongue, and then cuddling close, burying her head in my chest. Not minding being tethered, she poses for photos like a super model, looking elegant, regal and well, yes, ladylike! She sits when I ask her to, takes treats gently, and as we sat and cuddled, used her paw to nudge me if I stopped petting her. Staff who did her official intake agreed that shes indeed a sweetheart, behaving beautifully as she was processed in. Lady hops back in her kennel easily after letting me dry her feet. As I passed her kennel during the day, her tail wagged joyfully at seeing me. I took her out again at the end of the day (a spot reserved for my favorites), and we hugged and kissed and I promised her that we would find her a wonderful home. Please help me make my promise to her come true.
