Lady’s bio reads that she’s a little on the hyper side - not so unusual until you notice the reason why: the poor girl is accustomed to spending up to 20 hours at a clip, alone in the back yard! That accounts for some exuberance when she’s finally exposed to a human, loving or not. Can you imagine the poor quality of any food or water left for her in such circumstances? She’s a tiny pit bull mix of not even 50-pounds. Lady’s bio also suggests that she’s NOT experienced much exposure or socialization around other dogs or cats. In reality, when Lady was tested at the shelter, she rushed over to the strange dog but she didn’t show any kind of aggression. Lady was labeled as best for an experienced dog handler, but we believe she’ll come around just fine after a few experiences with humans and other animals. She’s only one-year-old and she’s caught the kennel cough that is a death sentence at the city ACC. We’re pleading for her very life tonight. Please advocate for Lady.
