Lafayette elementary is shutting down due to no electricity . We have to pick the kids up by 1015 AM . The alerts that are sent out by Lafayette are so unclear its ridiculous! They send an alert saying the school has no electricity but nothing else...not that they are waiting to see if it can be fixed or please wait for update. Then they send out alert that the school is closing kids may be picked up at 1015am. (From that assuming no buses abd every kid has to be picked up).....e on think things thru a little better before you send out an alert people do need to make arrangements and dont have time to sit and watch for the next alert because your not thorough.
