Lagos – Nigerian mothers have banded together to do what they can to end the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike, AllAfrica reports. Rita Lori Ogbebor, who is the leader of a non- governmental organisation called ‘Mothers in Nigeria’, stated that the mothers of undergraduates were tired of seeing their children mull about at home instead of getting the education that they deserve. She said that mothers will be approaching the Federal Government and the ASUU to put a stop to the incessant strike.
