Lake Area Technical Institute and Mitchell Technical Institute were included on the Aspen Institute’s list of the top 150 community colleges in the nation. They are now both eligible to compete for the 2015 Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. This tremendous honor highlights the high-quality of education at both institutions and underscores the hard work and dedication of their students, teachers and administrators. Yesterday I also had the honor of touring the newly opened Trades Center at Mitchell Technical Institute. These new facilities are very impressive and the programs offered will allow South Dakota students to develop valuable skills that will help them as they enter the workforce. Congratulations and keep up the great work!
