Lake County Sheriff Gary Borders stands by his deputies actions that night saying they have a right to make the tactical decision not to announce themselves. Well, yes they are, as long as they are a whole hell of a lot more sure about what door they are knocking on. They had no credible evidence or intell to indicate they were at the correct door. Wreckless endangerment at least, manslaughter at best. They will claim officers acted reasonably and prudently. Well, their reasonable and prudent resulted in the killing an innocent man. They only look at the 5 seconds at the door and take no responsibility for being wrong, not doing any investigation, and setting up the situation that resulted in the mans death.
