Lakeland College Japan Campus held the Study Abroad Information Session, presented by alumnis Mr. Ryoma Abe, Mr. Shunya Iida, Ms. Jessica Amano, Ms.Ayaka Yamada, and Ms. Mina Nikkuni on July 30, at the first floor lounge of LCJ. This information session was planned by Mr. Abe, and the information they provided to students was mainly about what to expect in an overseas college/university, what to bring with you, and the cultural differences between the Japanese and the U.S. Questions regarding how to make friends, the differences between Japanese and American medication, food culture, and difference in climate were asked by students looking to transfer overseas. Also, the emphasis on knowing Japanese culture, history, and lifestyle is whats mostly asked from American students so knowing about these is essential. Overall, the alumnis emphasized mainly on the attitude of accepting change and the ability of assimilating into a different culture. Great job, alumnis, and thank you Mr. Abe for organizing the event! レイクランド大学ジャパン・キャンパスを7月30日、LCJの1階学生ラウンジで海外留学情報セッションを卒業生の阿部良真さん、飯田隼也さん、天野八寿花さん、山田彩香さん、新國美奈さんが在校生さんに自らの経験と知識を告げました。海外留学情報セッションは阿部さんが企画して、海外での大学生活やそれに必要な物、アメリカと日本文化との違いを情報提供をしてくれました。学生さんからの質問は友達の作り方、お薬や食べ物の違い、環境の違いが主に多かったです。後、良くアメリカの学生さんに聞かれるのが日本の文化や歴史、ライフスタイルをよく聞かれるそうなので海外に行く前に日本の事を良く知ること。全体的に強く強調してたのがチャレンジ精神を持つ事とシャイにならないで色んな文化の事に興味もって、それに慣れる事。卒業生の阿部さん、飯田さん、山田さん、新國さん、ホントにお疲れ様です。阿部さん、企画していただいてありがとうございました！
