Lamar L. Gaugler, 85, of Pottstown, died Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at ManorCare Pottstown. Born in Gilbertsville, he was the son of the late Vernes and Amy (Latshaw) Gaugler. He served in the Army during WWII and Korea. In his early years he worked on the railroad, then he worked for Bethlehem Steel in Pottstown as a welder until it closed. After the plant closed he worked for Pottstown Borough as a street sweeper operator. Surviving are one son, David L. Gaugler, with whom he resided; one daughter, Sandra K. Gregory of Peoria, Arizona; one brother Kermit Gaugler of Gilbertsville and six grandchildren. He was predeceased by one brother and one sister. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 10:30AM at Morrell Funeral Home Inc., 124 West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown, PA. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30AM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by the Morrell Funeral Home Inc., (MorrellFuneralHome).
