Lamenations 3:26 It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD. Todays Song: Once For All Todays Bible Reading: Jeremiah 22-23 ~ Titus 1 Psalms 77:9 Hath God forgotten to be gracious? hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah. Psalms 31:22 For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee. Luke 18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? Luke 18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? Proverbs 20:22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee. Psalms 37:7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. 2 Chronicles 20:17 Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you. Galations 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. “Hath God forgotten to be gracious?” Has El, the Mighty One, become great in everything but grace? Does he know how to afflict, but not how to uphold? Can he forget anything? Above all, can he forget to exercise that attribute which lies nearest to his essence, for he is love? “Hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies?” Are the pipes of goodness choked up so that love can no more flow through them? Do the bowels of Jehovah no longer yearn towards his own beloved children? Thus with cord after cord unbelief is smitten and driven out of the soul; it raises questions and we will meet it with questions: it makes us think and act ridiculously, and we will heap scorn upon it. The argument of this passage assumes very much the form of a reductio ad absurdtlm. Strip it naked, and mistrust is a monstrous piece of folly. “Selah.” Here rest awhile, for the battle of questions needs a lull. Consider what encouragement here is for Christians to be patient, to establish their hearts, and not to grudge one against another. “Look to the example of the husbandman: He waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. When you sow your corn in the ground, you wait many months for the former and latter rain, and are willing to stay till harvest for the fruit of your labour; and shall not this teach you to bear a few storms, and to be patient for a season, when you are looking for a kingdom and everlasting felicity? Consider him that waits for a crop of corn; and will not you wait for a crown of glory? If you should be called to wait a little longer than the husbandman does, is it not something proportionably greater and infinitely more worth your waiting for? PRAY For lost Family and Friends who have turned away from God or are not Saved. Our time on earth is so short. We know not the hour in which He comes. Please accept JESUS CHRIST as your Savior and Repent of your Sins. Fall on your face before a Loving and Graceful Father. (Please, Stop thinking you are better then GOD. Stop thinking this world has more to offer then God does). Please do not wait, you know not the hour. If you stepped away from God and went to the World to look for pleasures. What is more important the things of God or things of this world? Just remember the things of this world will wither away. The only Pleasures to find is in Gods Word and living for Him. Living in this sinful world is not what God wants for you. God never wanted us to sleep with the devil. Just remember you will have to face God for all you have done and give account for your actions. I was reading that so many Christians that turned their lives over to God, and then went back into the world, All of their things before God will be burnt up. Wow, When I Heard that I was heart broken, I started to Cry. So is this sinful world worth it? please, I can show You how to accept Jesus Christ as your LORD AND SAVIOR right now.
