Land, Sea and Sky Come and enjoy the start of the Environmental Action Teams Earth Month on Friday, April 4th in the Sanctuary. There will be a concert of music by local composers, Diane Berry, Sylvia Rickard, Leila Lustig, Josh Layne and Lynne Penhale. The performers will be the Vis-a-Vis Saxophone Quartet, Paula Kiffner on cello, Gord Clements on clarinet, Josh Layne on harp, Diane Berry on flute, soprano Marnie Setka-Mooney with special guest artists, the St. Marys Childrens Choir. It is a unique event because each piece will be dedicated to specific, local environmental organization, such as the Georgia Strait Alliance, the Dogwood Initiative, the Rocky Point Bird Observatory, the Natural History Society of Victoria and others. Most of the composers that are featured in this concert are women,which is also unusual, and is co-sponsored by the Association of Canadian Women Composers. The concert begins at 7:30 in the Sanctuary.
