Land utilization – Workshop in Nay Pay Taw ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ A workshop on the land utilization was held at the Ministry of Environmental Conservation and forestry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday. At the workshop, Union Minister at the President Office U Tin Naing Thien discussed land utilization for respective sectors to draft policies, laws rules and regulations for effective land management. Union Minister for Environmental Conservation and forestry U Win Tun told the participants that national land utilization policy (draft) is to be based on the objectives such as perpetuation of sovereignty and territory of the State, development of socio economic life of the people, rural and urban development, national food security and natural habitats. It also includes conservation of tradition, biodiversity and watershed areas, local and foreign investment. Union Ministers, deputy ministers, presidential advisors and officials participated in the discussions.
