Landed in Maui with perfect synchronicity to catch the inspiring and revolutionary words of Vandana Shiva, speaking on seed sovereignty, indigenous rights, and the seed-earth satyagraha- just a couple miles from our upcountry island abode for the next couple weeks. Maizie and I went to this #homerule gathering, which is a historical moment of earth revolution, as the people of Maui have recently voted in a GMO moratorium. Excited for my children to witness these powerful moments in history as a part of our expeditionary homeschooling. We were blessed to see a rainbow above the hall as we left. Now enjoying abundant fresh produce from the market after a nice hike to fern laden cliffs where springs tumble out of ancient caves made from lava. Grateful for the opportunity to give our prayers and offerings to this land and meet with those who steward this ancient island with grace and honor.
