Landscape scale forestry meeting On Wednesday, June 18th a meeting will be held at the Kearneysville Tree Fruit Research and Education Center to discuss natural resources issues in the eastern panhandle. The evening will feature short talks on wildlife ecology, invasive species, and important current conditions of natural resources. This is part of a project that is being conducted in five regions in West Virginia. It is in collaboration with the West Virginia Division of Forestry who is interested in potential future projects that might directed towards natural resources issues extending across property boundaries. Some of these issues are invasive species, fire control, water quality, and wildlife habitat management. In addition, this will be an information gathering event that will contribute to a report on the feasibility of future natural resources projects in the area. Participants will have opportunities to express their own views on the quality of natural resources in their specific locales. Clicker technology will be used to help gather information while keeping responses confidential. For more information or to RSVP contact Dr. Dave McGill, 304-293-5930; [email protected].
