Landscapes from Northeast India ~ Arunachal Pradesh Land of the Dawn-lit-Mountains Arunachal Pradesh is India’s remotest state and the first Indian soil to greet the rising sun. Kibithu is a town in Arunachal Pradesh which is so very controversial that it cannot help being famous. This is one of the easternmost towns which are inhabited and it stands on the line of actual control or LAC, forming the Indo China border. Entry of outsiders is monitored and sometimes restricted. Although the helipad is a great attraction, visually, but currently it is out of bounds for civilians and photography is a strict no. It is located on the last road head of extreme northeast of north eastern India and the very place that the Lohit River enters India. A place of absolute beauty, the landscape of the whole town is verdant forest, lush greenery, Rocky Mountains punctuated by many rivulets and waterfalls. It feels like Mother Nature was really fond of this tiny town so far away. A hill station which can take your breath away, this is one place which will make you realize that the beauty of nature can never be measured. One of the most exhilarating experiences you will have is crossing one of the hanging bridges which are suspended far above the Lohit River. It may be a mind blowing sight but the swaying winds on top of a hanging bridge makes for one great adventure.
