Langtang area lies towards the north of the Kathmandu Valley. The area is picturesque and the view are spectacular. However, this area has fewer visitors. To the west of Langtang is Ganesh Himal ranging between 6000 to 7000 mts. The Gosainkund and Helambu region lies to its south. The Langtang area was designated as Nepals first Himalayan National Park in 1971 and is inhabited by Tamang and Sherpa people whose religious practices, language and dress are much more similar to those of Tibetan people. leisureholidaytours/langtang-region-trekking-in-nepal.php
