Lansdale, Pa. born Margaret Annemarie Battavio better known as Little (because she was only 4 9 tall) Peggy, March (the month she was born) did a cover version of I Will Follow Him in 1963 that spent 3 weeks at #1 & shes this weeks Wenz-Day 1HIT- 1DER. Even though her two follow up singles reached #32 & #26 she is regarded as a one hit wonder. When it reached #1 she was the youngest female to ever have a #1 song & she still holds that distinction. Surprisingly the song also hit #1 on the Soul Singles chart for the 1966 Lansdale Catholic grad. Sadly, her manager was pocketing her earnings leaving her with just $500 at age 18.
