Laptop, PC, Phone, tablet Tech FT (Cedar Park) We are a well establish company that is looking to Hire a tech for our Cedar park location. We pride ourselves on being able to repair just about anything. So if you are the kind of person that loves to tinker and figure out how everything works and fix it. As well as you are good with working with people. Then this is the job for you. Responsibilities Diagnose/troubleshoot hardware and software issues including, but not limited to, the following: - Strong software and Hardware repairs/troubleshoot to include: - Hard drive failures, clones and replacements - System boards and component level replacement including soldering, replacement DC jacks. - LCD replacements - Board replacements in laptop and desktop - OS repairs (Windows xp, vista, 7/8, Apple OS X) - Repair & Remove viruses/rootkits/malware/spyware - Outlook file management, (import/export/repair/transfer) - Basic networking knowledge - All brands repaired, PC and Apple, but see mostly Dell, Lenovo, Toshiba and HP - Tablet and smart phone repair experience - Linux and android knowledge preferred but not necessary. The ideal candidate will have: Excellent customer service - Be able to talk to the customer (who may not be technical) and explain diagnosis and repair options Strong customer skills with an ability to work in the field when necessary. Two or more years in similar role with emphasis on PC repair and refurbishment. Some college education preferred, but not required. Additional work experience can be substituted for college education. Flexibility and a whatever it takes attitude. Other job duties may be assigned. Ability to lift and carry and walk and stand for prolonged times. Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening, driving, and background checks. Must be a self starter, motivated to excel, and willing to adapt. This is a Full time job with benefits. Pay rate TBD based on DOE, but it will Be between 13.00 and 15.00 per hour.
