Lara and Thurman are being disgracefully treated by their own promoter. Lara is considered the best 154 pound fighter in the world but the fact that they are matching him against Ishe Smith who is beyond irrelevant relevant. Smith getting another is a farce. GB want him to look like shit so he no longer is deemed a viable opponent for both Fraud & Canelo. Smith is 35 with 6 losses, 5 of whom were undefeated prospects, in other words he was brought in to give the other fighters rounds. Keith Thurman was was on the right path but is now been treated like shit. At 25 he had has steady wins over Carlos Quintana, Jan Zaveck and put in a very mature performance against Diego Chaves, when he realized that the Argentinian wasn;t going to fall over he settled down, boxed beautifully and eventually wore his man down stopping him in the 10th. Last time out he took his time and took out the very dangerous Jesus Soto Karass in the 9th, a man who has upset more than a few people. Next up Julio Diaz, like Lara a fight and opponent who will add nothing to their ledger and is a complete waste of time. He has 9 losses is 34 , been knocked out 5 times and will get smashed to pieces by One-Time because the fight is a mis-match. He has been knocked out by: Jose Luis Castillo Juan Valenzuela (in one round) Juan Diaz Rolando Reyes Kendall Holt (in three rounds). What makes it even worse for Thurman is that Porter v Malinaggi (undeserving) is taking place and the winner must face Kell Brook who has turned down about 5 real fights at this point. GB could have made Thurman v Porter which is a fight that actually means something unlike the garbage I just mentioned above.
