Lara is now free of all lines and tubes since yesterday afternoon, and is able to stand to get into a wheelchair with assistance from only one person. The sensation issues on her right side are what is inhibiting her mobilisation the most. The right arm is the worst, with it alternating from numbness to pins and needles to hypersensitivity. They will begin her on some medication which targets nerve pain today, but it will take a few days for it to work. Other than that, Laras massive appetite continues to amaze all!! Ok, so she is making up the 4 kgs lost prior to the diabetes diagnosis, and she is on steroids, but still.......!
