Larch Tolype - Hodges#7673 (Tolype laricis) Northern Vermont; September 1, 2014 For a successful mask, which was not successful and was never completed, I needed stronger contrast with the moths white legs. So we put the moth on a blue background. The problem? It plays dead. I got photos of that, and then we needed a finger to pose the tiny thing. The finger poses, because of the moths tiny size, are not great. But they are fun. (I photoshopped out Johns bloody, mangled fingernail, also.)
