Larissa Horbanczuk Tripp I have been thinking about your BW challenge. In the BW period in my life was all about the darkroom with the sweet pungent smell of Dektol, stop bath and fixer and Charlotte Myers Lassen with her super scent detection nose objecting. The BW in those days were spectacular with the concentration of silver in the emulation of the photo paper. I can still smell those chemicals when I see a high quality BW photo of my own and Ansel Adams. Its interesting when nature turns color to BE by a snowstorm or darkness. These two photos by my friend Jan Pelsue Smith and niece Ingjerd Liberg where color is naturally vacant and color background is apparent. Its amazing how memories stimulate smell and odor stimulates memory.
