Larry Doc Sportello Is going in my top ten Characters of 2014. The Doc is a private investigator living in the cloud of Asian indica smoke that fills his beach side bungalow. The Doc is called into help solve the mystery of a missing millionaire who is having an affair with his ex girlfriend. Joaquin Phoenix once again does an amazing job transforming himself into this outlandish character. As for the movie in a whole I was hoping for more. The story is good and very rich. Theres all these different characters trying to accomplish different things. I can imagine the book is really good. I just think the adaptation was poor. I couldnt really follow it, everything moved so fast, it seemed like to much going on. A lot of it seemed like needless information that didnt even have bearing to the story, it just made me confused. Overall I was disappointed in Inherent Vice, I thought I would have laughed a little more, been a little less confused about what was going, and had been a little shorter I might have enjoyed it a little more. Im gonna give Inherent Vice a score of 6 out of 10. Inherent Vice you got that score because of Doc Sportello. On another note I would really like to get high with the doc youtu.be/OUZgOQ186-A
