Las nite, I wuz tha Invited Guest of Boyd & Angela Nichols Atkinson of Delta Smokers to break bread, enjoy their hospitality, an hang mah hat with them at the Octoberfest in Cleveland. I thoroughly enjoyed my Groceries, Camaraderie, an Fellowship afforded me n Dmarg at these FineFolk n Frens Cookin Trailer. But, I must admit I got lost in a Sea of Melancholy mixed with a touch of Jealousy while there among the Teams competing for Prized, Pride, & Glory with their BBQ Cookin Expertise. In the not so far past. all of this wudda been held at Our Cookin Rig while we roasted ah Polly Pig upon tha Fires of Competition Cookin. And, for that reason, I tend to not attend these MBN events, especially the Cleveland Octoberfest cause this is where I began my Cookin Quest as tha BuggahDen Smokes with ah rejected propane tank on wheels way back in 87. Those feelins all dissipate when we got home aroun 10:30ish an tha Skies opened up an tha rain started to fall!! This mornin as I sip my coffee in tha warm, DRY, Comforts at Home watching tha rain fall incessantly, I am sho glad I aint down there competin an fightin ah fire with ah Wet Ass! What time do tha Games start!!
