Las nite after tha rain done chilled us to tha bone, I deiced it wuz time to get out tha soup pot. When scroungin thru tha freezer, I found ah bag of frozen nibblet yellow corn I needed to git rid of. I already knew I had swhimps, real butter, trinity veggies, an heavy cream at tha house - tha major makins of ah pot of Corn n Swhimp Bisque/Chowder. Ah lil more searchin an I found everythin else I needed: chicken broth, garlic, bacon, diced maters, flour, taters, basil, oregano, an rosemary. Least I not forget, some of my RunninWaynes DELTA Seasonin fer all Reasonin wuz already on tha countertop! I cut up tha bacon into 1/2 inch squares an throwed em in tha pot on medium heat stirrin them until they wuz gud n crisped up. Then I dumped in on top of it ah couple of 3 cups of Trinity Veggies lettin them simmer down ah touch. Next I added 4 cups of peeled n diced up taters an 4 cups of corn to tha mix an let them simmer some more. Las but not least, I sprinkled in sum basil, sum oregano, an sum rosemary before addin ah can of diced maters. As ah afterthought, I added ah couple of heapin tablespoons of my roasted pepper blend an seasoned it all up wif mah RunninWaynes. Then I let it cook on down some more stirrin occasionally. While this concoction wuz simmerin, I peeled tha swhimps an cut 2/3rds of em into 3rds of 4ths leaving tha rest whole an set em aside til later. When tha mix wuz where I thunt it wuz right, I spooned about 3/4s of it into tha processor, pureed it leavin it jus ah touch textured, an then added it back to tha still chunky 1/4th Id left in tha pot. With tha mix cookin on medium heat, I added 2 qts of chicken broth an ah half ah cup of self risin flour to it stirrin this all in real good so that tha flour got dissolved. I brought it to ah rollin boil stirrin regular for about 10 to 15 minutes. Tha las thang I added wuz all tha swhimps (about 2 1/2 lbs) an ah quart of heavy cream then cut it back to simmer for about 5 mo minutes. Voila! Ah Big Ass Pot of Corn n Swhimp Bisque/Chowder wuz waitin on Madame Queen when she rolled in frum teachin Nite Classes on that Chilly Damp Nite!
