Last Friday I was looking for a notebook in my office cupboard - TopicsExpress

Last Friday I was looking for a notebook in my office cupboard when I found a small folder where I had kept some papers in which my son had written something. One such paper brought some fond memories. Three years back, Rohans class teacher had asked her students to write a letter to then environmental minister to protect tigers in India and this is what Rohan had written in that paper. Dear CM, Please plant more trees and save Tigers - Rohan.S- IIA. The discussion that went on between the two is just worth remembering... Me - How does planting trees and saving tigers go hand in hand. Rohan - Pappa, where do tigers live? Me - They live in forest. Rohan- Dont you need trees to make a forest. Thats why I said plant more trees, create more forest and leave tigers there to live happily. Me - Wow, thats interesting but why are you writing to CM. Rohan - Because I only know the CM and dont know who is the environment minister:) The way kids think is just fantastic and this letter brought memories of what happened 3 years back. They have a logic for everything that they do. To me what was a little stressful day just turned out to be very pleasant after looking at this piece of paper.
