Last Friday the prospect of a really hot weekend made me question where to ride over the weekend? Thought of Cannell (its 9200 ft at the top) but I had no one to go up there with. Ditto for Mammoth. With those out I decided to hit SCOA for the 6AM shuttle to Mt Wilson. Blasted down the Merrills all the way to Lake St and back to JPL for the 8. This time I was joined by another rider and we did Wilson to Winter Creek, Chantry and back to Arcadia. Xavier Lassalle called and joined us at 11:30 at JPL. We went up and hit Silver Moccasin from Christian Camp, Silver Moc from Charlton Flats and then headed over to Mt Wilson for a run to Sierra Madre via the Mt Wilson Trail. It was hot but cooler up high and MWT is mostly in the shade after noon. Sweet day with over 17,000 ft of descending.
