Last March, Business Insider found that when Americans didnt know which plan was whose, the policies they preferred were those offered up by the House Progressives Caucus. In other words, America is not a center-right nation. In fact, its more like a left-left nation. Business Insider also found that the policy ideas most attractive to Americas were most likely to never find their way to the Presidents desk... and most likely to receive zero publicity from the corporate media. Gee... guess thats because our so-called representatives of the people are representing their true constituents - the billionaires who financed their campaigns with no limits (thanks to the right wing Supreme Court.) Given the billionaires cash flooding into our political system, Democrats hope should lie with true, authentic, unapologetic, populism. Todays Dems can take a lesson from Harry Trumans kick-ass and take names, unapologetic fight for the working class. Harry Truman said, “Ever since its inception, that party [the Republican Party] has been under the control of special privilege... They proved it by the things they did to the people, and not for them. They proved it by the things they failed to do.” Harry gave em Hell - and todays Dems should do the same.
