Last Monday 9/8 our third group of table games sharks played the Cards for a Cause tournament. First time player Joe Garcia, played very tight due to the unlucky hands that he was dealt, but managed to survive a couple of all in bets. Also a first time player, dealer Aurora Hornbuckle, sadly was the first casualty of the game. Maggie Chow and Annie Ferrer, put up a great fight, but couldnt secure a seat in the final round. Supervisor Bill Ming was left with 25 in chips by an astute first time supervisor Kathleen Shaw, who played aggressively throughout the game. Bill remained in the game, as he was able to turn 25 in chips into 300 in chips. Supervisor Mariah Maria Cerasi went all in with a pair of Queens, while supe. rvisor Ron Marks called with a A-3 off suit ant the final outcome was that Ron caught an Ace at the river crushing Marias Queens. The final hand that led dealer Daniel Zinkin to the finals was played between Kathleen and Ron. Kathleen went all in with a pair of 7s and Ron called with A-9 off suit. Again the river brought an Ace for Ron pushing him to the final round.
