Last Monday,i was @Mobile Mondays for my man Gene Browns birthday party...it was an historic moment for New York Hip Hop!! Dj Scratch,Just Blaze,Rashad Smith,Statik Selectah,Dj Spinna and Easy Mo Bee were all there playing beats...their classics and some new ones too. They all did their thing but when Easy mo Bee got on the Sp 1200 and plaid the instrumental of Craig MacksFlava in ya ear from the original floppy disk...the room went NUTS!!! It sounded exactly like the record...like it was already mixed and mastered...incredible!! That was what we call HIP HOP,it had nothing to do with RAP...the culture was in the building that night,and that was just beautiful!! It just reminded me why i left France to come live here...lol You can see in that video,on the left you have Just Blaze,DJ Scratch and on the right,Rashad Smith,Dj Spinna etc..while Easy is playing a new beat!
