Last Monday morning I had a CT scan performed on my lungs, due to the fact that I have been exposed to high levels of radon for ten years...within an hour I had a message on my online health record account that from the 618 images taken, they found three nodules on my right lung. One 4mm on lower right lobe, one 4mm on middle love and 2mm on upper lobe. The concern is whether or not these calcified nodules are lung cancer or not. With the persistent health issues, chronic pain, many hours of many days spent in bed feeling hopeless and devastated, this doesnt surprise, but simulataneously shocks me, because of lack of scientific thinking in the medical world, and just the fact that I have known something was wrong all along but have been treated like a hypo with a sinus infection. It angers me, scares me, and saddens me for the fact that I could be facing a diagnosis that I am not at all prepared to manage...and my children could end up without a mommy early in their lives... This is a message to my friends and family, because I need your prayer. It looks like attention seeking, but it sucks to deal with in darkness and I just need positive energy and prayer for myself and my family to lift the fear and the sickness from my life so that I can live on in health for my kids.
