Last Night we had the privilege and honor of celebrating our uncle Antonio Tenaglias 100th birthday. Antonio Tenaglia was born in Italy on October 29th, 1914. In 1956, he and his wife Domenica came to America to live with her sister Maddalena and brother-in-law Rocco Sacramone. Though Antonio and his wife Domenica did not have children of their own, they helped to raise the Sacramones sons: Anthony, Mario and Domenico. Happily married for 75 years, Antonio and Domenica parted when she passed away two years ago. Although he misses the love of his life, Antonio still gardens in his backyard, takes long walks in Astoria, and is a fixture at Anthony and Domenicos restaurant Sacs Place.
