Last Saturday marked my second NAGA championship in the Expert Nogi division as well as my second tournament win at purple belt. I achieved my goal of a clean sweep by choking all of my opponents but unfortunately missed out on some good matches as there were tougher guys the weight class above me. I would like to thank everyone at Mat Chess MMA who helped me come so far in my grappling. Id also like to thank Andrew and Sen for coming down to see me, Bruce for competing along side me, Asher and Rhiannon for putting me up for the night and last but not least my lovely girlfriend Kat for everything (excepting that im always training, putting up with my stinky gis, being an impromptu drilling dummy, putting up with pre tournament habits and mood swings, just being cool about my lifestyle in general.) This chapter has gone by sooo quickly and it makes me hungry for more. Looking forward to bigger things soon!
