Last Saturday we held our first Kids and Dads Day at The Hub. Our Youth Support Worker, Katie Siviter, gives us an insight into the day... Our Dads Support Worker Peter and I were really excited about organising this event, so that the kids had some special 1 on 1 time with their dads, whilst the mums could get some well-deserved time alone too. As it was our first time, we were really pleased to have 15 families in attendance. From the word go, the kids challenged their dads to a variety of games and activities including; air hockey, pool, Wii sports, crafts, table tennis and pizza making. The kids particularly loved making their own pizza’s with the help of their dads and SAT support workers. We hope that everyone enjoyed the event and will aim to hold another one next year too.
