Last Sunday on facebook was a miserable place to be. My feed was full of anger and hurt at the atzeres tefilah in Yerushalayim. Maybe it was justified, maybe it wasnt, but maybe we can do better this week. A friend of mine told me why shes going to todays atzeres in Manhattan. She said when such a large group of klal yisroel gets together to daven, she feels she should be there. Her tefillos will piggyback on their tefillos. I think thats a common sentiment of those going. Most people dont care about the politics. Theyre going because they care about limud Torah and theyre going because davening for limud Torah cant be a bad thing and theyre going because they dont want to be poresh min hatzibur and theyre going because its going to be epic. Practice what you preach. Try to find the good in this event. Dont just lash out and accuse the people there of being divisive. Think about if *your* words are promoting unity or anger.
