Last Sunday saw the Barnies take on some of the best pub football talent in this fair city in the annual UK Cup, held at Eastern Lions FC in Burwood. It must be said that they acquitted themselves quite well after losing their opening match to eventual champions West Ham (when was the last time they won a trophy?), but fought back to defeat pre tournament favourites in the next game, Man City, only to go down by a single goal to Wolves in their final qualifying game. The goal it must be said did reveal some questionable marking by our defensive unit, and the keepers preoccupation with his near post. None the less it was a good hit out, and it was great to see the likes of Portillo C and Mac Donald K return after absences due to injury. https://youtube/watch?v=FvGhisvYhcE
