Last Thursday my dogs were attacked by a pitbull cross at a Nanaimo Park. Mine on leash, his off. The owner claimed he was friendly and had never done anything like that before. I told him that one of my dogs was nervous of big dogs and yet he took the leash off of his anyway. His dog managed to get its jaws onto my little terrier and it took some time for him to pry them off. Needless to say I was and still am pretty traumatized, to say nothing of my dogs state. I asked him for his phone number and he gave me one. Fake or not in service, Ive tried several times to contact him. My little dog has many puncture wounds that requires many stitches and drains, one of which is inside of his anus. I told the guy where I live, in fact he saw me go into my yard as he walked up the road with his dog pulling at his leash trying to get at my dogs again. HE is responsible for a $500 (so far) vet bill and he knows it. Someone must know who this guy is, he said he lives 2 blocks from the park (Diver Lake) The dog is mostly white with a black or dark coloured ear patch and is a pitbull cross. PLEASE NANAIMO Lets find this guy so this doesn`t happen to anyone else. I am so thankful that my little guy is still alive. If you know this guy PLEASE help me find him. I have called animal control but without anymore information they can do little. I`m sure this guy loves his dog and it is friendly most of the time and this may be a freak occurrence for this dog. BUT IT DID HAPPEN AND IT IS HIS RESPONSABILITY
